Mike, that sounds "heavy"!
I'm clearing my bench right now for I have couple campaigns starting in January and February. But I don't think I can keep it empty if, let say, I finish my current build in a week time...

I like the Mack DM600. Are you planning on doing it as a tractor or something else?

This is the kit I'll be building.

I have an extended frame from American Industrial Truck Models

Some slick stuff in there!

Should be an interesting build. Are you going for a custom look?
Check out
Double Take Replicas. Kurt has some really nice resin pieces for the K100.
Mo'luminum is another good site.

I like that Kenworth K123 Grill from Double Take. I may get that.
So, I have the basic AMT kit. I have a stretched frame. I have a set of full rear "fenders" (one fender covers both duals on a side). I'll be getting a roof visor shortly.
I'll probably also get/make a cab guard for behind the sleeper. I'm thinking new pipes too. So, yeah, customized for sure.
Yellow and metallic black for main colors.

Jim, Thank you for heads-up. I love the "Mack" signs on photo-etched fret but the grille really stands out!
I'm going for the cab only, for this build. I haven't decided on the color scheme yet... but I feel like lemon yellow or carrot orange will be the "right" choice. And - oh boy! - this kit has loads of chrome that need to be removed. I've bought also a flatbed trailer but... I just don't feel starting it right now. Let's see what's going to happen after I finish the cab.
Cheers!

And I have AMT's Kenworth W-925 re-issue in mail. The original is quite old (1971), so I'm not sure what to expect. But as a kid Movin' On was my favorite TV series so had to choose this

Okay, I'm in. The first campaign I've enlisted in in a LONG time. I have two trucks that are just barely started...way less than 25% complete...an AMT White Road Boss that has the frame glued together and the engine assembled. And a Revell Ford AeroMax 120 with the engine block and assorted tanks and airbags glued together. Haven't decided which one to go for yet.
If I go for the Ford, I want to make a day cab out of it. If I go for the Road Boss, I'll build it as a day cab also since I don't like the Mercury sleeper that comes with it.
The latest survey shows that
three out of four people make
up 75% of the population.

I had no idea there were so many aftermarket items out there for the main line 1/24 - 1/25 trucks. I'd been looking for things that would upgrade or really make my K-123 "sparkle," and boy did I find some serious AM bling out there.
Extended frames, cab guards, new tires (all kinds), grills, stacks, fuel tanks, air tanks, and on, and on.
Thinking I'll be reviewing some of the things I've picked up as I build them.
Oh, my K-123 will now be a four axle rig.
Message me or just drop a note here and I'll see about posting some of the places I've found...and maybe some YOU'VE found.

Mike

Excited? Hard to tell.

You sound like a kid at Christmas! So, you're putting a lift axle on it? Very cool. Are you going for a "heavy haul" look? If you are, you might consider putting some float tires on the front.
If you need a "black hole of time" for truck ideas, might I recommend
Hank's Truck Pictures?
