I'm thinking my build may change to a '60 Starliner as I keep looking at that kit and I just love the look of the car in stock form.

Well there's still a couple of weeks to go and a few things to clear off the bench before I'll be ready including a 'Cuda

Good call, D.! So I discovered I have forgotten to enlist myself (du-uh!).
Also I have changed the subject. The '34 Ford I gifted away to a fellow Romanian modeller. I am in now with a Moebius '66 Ford pick-up Flareside. I will post the box pic as soon I will have the laptop.

D,
All those early Ford's may or may not have either The Ford name or any kind of emblem. But I do think that anyone who wants to enter a very early Ford should be allowed to do so.

Joel

I'm with you there.

I also noticed the FORD name prominently on the spare wheel cover of the T-Bird that Mike posted earlier, so maybe that could pass muster if it's included in a T-Bird kit?

That's an impressive list of participants.

I have my mind set on Revell's '65 Mustang 2+2 fastback. I'm contemplating giving this one a go with Gravity colors and some after market wheels.

D,
Once again thanks so much for that updated list. The Campaign, which we should really consider calling Group Builds: GBs in Auto Modeler, as that term really seems more in tune to the military forums on KitMaker Network. If it's ok with you, I'll start using that term moving forward.

That seems reasonable. Campaign does sound a little to militaristic for over here on the Shiny Side!

Mine is subject to change as well. Could possibly swap to Shummie's Bennetton Ford if I can get the correct decals in time for it or maybe just a Mustang instead. We'll see where the winds drive me on or around the start date

David,
Excellent choice of a race car. The only thing to watch for is that Benneton ran Ford engines in one form or another from 1987 through 1994, then switched over to Renault power.

The only kits that come to mind are the Hasegawa B190 and the Tamiya B192, both ran with Ford power. Schumacher only ran the B192, not the B190.

Decalpool.com:https://www.decalpool.com/1-20-f1 has all the decals needed for the B192 in a 2 decal set. If you have the needed sponsor/car markings, then you only need the Camel decals on sheet 2.

I've used their decals and they're excellent. All their decals are silk screened. You can get them direct, or from Spot Models in Spain. I've ordered them both ways, and the usual time period was 3 weeks for both orders.

Just for conformity: This is going to be the kit I'm in for the Group Build:

Moebius 1/25th '66 Ford F100 Flareside.

For what I can say after a quick look into the box, the kit is very nicely detailed, with over 300 parts but probably with some alignment challenges as well. However, I'm looking forward for it!

Gabriel,
Looking forward to your build blog. 300 parts for a 1/25 scale kit should make for one really well detailed and accurate model.

Great choice of kit there Gabriel, but 300 parts

I am having trouble imagining where 300 parts would go in a pick-up kit

Looking forward to your build on this one.

Thanks, Joel! Yes, it looks super-detailed, very close to what ICM are putting in their boxes. Looking forward for this build too, because I wanted since too long to try out one of the Moebius productions!

In truth, more parts are parallel options but with a multi-part frame, multi-part suspension and so on, there is no wonder. Here you can have a quick look at the engine assembly:

Virtually each minor sub-assembly of the real engine makes a piece!

No, I didn't start investigating the kit yet - I'm in full swing with three others on my work bench! But I guess is about HPY Guys, right?!

I need to watch it, naturally!
Thanks again!

Thanks Joel,
I've got the Tamiya B192 in the stash. Was going to go with the Indycals ones and mask and paint the green area.

James, I am watching the video right now and I have to say am deeply impressed with the way the engine bay, the engine itself and the suspension look! And the good news is that there aren't any major fitting issues. I cannot wait to start the GB!

David,

I can't believe I forgot that Indy Cals has those decals, and you know that I'm a huge fan of Michael's decals. I just checked and the one sheet covers everything you need.

Looking forward to following your build.

The enlistees for our GB has grown to 18 members with the addition of Forest1000. Welcome to the Blue Oval GB.

If you know what you're planning on building just post it, and Damian will add it to the list.

Our GB has two new enlistees: Roman & TacFireGuru. Welcome to our GB guys. If you have any ideas of what you're planning or just thinking of building, please post them as Damian has an on going build list that he'll update to include both of you.

Officially we now have 20 enlistees which is an amazing number for our site. Looking forward to adding more enlistees.

D,
the number of enlistees has surpassed what I thought would be a realistic number by a large and growing margin. And as you said, members are from several other KitMaker network sites, so the word is out there, and there certainly seems to be a great interest in a Ford GB.

Just looking at the various proposed builds covers a very wide spectrum of types and eras. Like you, I'm really excited about the GB, and can't wait for it to finally start.
