So, there was some interest in this thread about a possible 1950s Group Build: http://automodeler.kitmaker.net/forums/236115&page=1 Is there still interest? What time frame would work for those interested? I was thinking of a start time of Spring 2016 & finishing in the Fall 2016. I was also thinking it would be purely automotive (cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc.) with a Model Year of 1950 through 1959. Any takers?

I agree with Jesper that the Hornet is a good choice, but there are many others too. I'll see what's at the store.

There are quite a few choices. There's the Moebius Hudson Hornet, Revell 1957 Ford Custom police car, Revell 1950 Ford F1, the 1957 Chevy has already been mentioned. Lots of choices.

Now, you computer artistic types, let's see what sort of Campaign Ribbon we can come up with. I'm thinking something that would be very 1950s (short of Elvis or The Fonz ). Remember, we're talking about an genre here, and not a specific automobile. Big fins & chrome! Hey, how does that sound for a name?

I don't think so, Damian. That 1959 Cadillac is right up there in the Big Fins & Chrome department.
