D., there are a few "grains" but really too few to damage the finish by sanding - I have to live with them - and another not "perfect" build

UPDATE
I have painted the interior and the windows' frames by brush, with Vallejo RLM 66 Schwartzgrau. Although designed for airbrush use, I find this Vallejo range one of the easiest to use by brush straight from the bottle:
one of the worst instances is gluing parts on clear, with the visible joint. Here I did my best (not "the best" though) - the Micro Krystal Klear is still drying here:
I also glued the front lights - their fit is just perfect!
Not so good is the light bar at the back: the lenght is good, but the curvature isn't the same as the body's curvature and needed some help:
But the day's bonus it was that I managed to mess all the windows before assembling them so I need to re-do the Alien Blood treatment. not big deal, but still unpleasant because I have received another kit for review today, that has to be completed in 40 days

Do worry about the Krystal Kleer. I've used it for more then 40 years, and when it dries, it dries 100% totally clear.
What glue did you use to for the lenses in the back, as I'm not to sure that Krystal Kleer would stand the test of time.

The more I use this AK Xtreme Metal, the more impressed I am. Straight out of the bottle, no thinning, straight onto the plastic, no primer, smooth and tough finish.
Tyres will get a wash to dull them down a bit.
And while we're at it, how about some colour on the shell!

The wheels came out great. As for the Red on the shell, you really need to put a warning header for us to put on our sunglasses before looking. That's some shine you've got there.

A little time over the weekend, spent doing some touch-ups from bleeding under the mask, and hand-painting details (mirror surrounds, rear wheel vent slats etc)
Windows have been Future Dipped, almost ready for final assembly, then a pin wash in the panel joins and vents.

The wheels are impressive, and so it's the way you managed the body paint.

I have attached the lateral windows and the rear one (after three foiled attempts and re-dipping in Pledge). Yes, minor things but they spun over 6 days!
The windshield it supposed to be easier - it fits from outside and I am contemplating now finishing the model...

You're in the home stretch now. The rear side and rear glass looks perfect. All the cars I've built so far have had outside installing windshields, and it's so much easier to align and glue in place.

Yes, the outside mounting glasses are much better. I use them as masks as well. If I cover them in masking tape, with the tape rolled over the edge, they will fit perfectly and will remain in their sockets until the end of the build. It is how I do with the staff cars in 35th scale.
UPDATE
With the glue on the rear side windows dried, I have wiped the insides clean and added the lower half to the body. It wasn't at all as easy as expected - the tolerances are minuscule but finally the bottom plate snapped into the place. Then I have added the windshield and now is drying in its turn.
Left to do: wipers, side mrror, door handles and license plates. Hopefully tomorrow:

Construction finished on schedule and the last bits added to the exterior. I decided not to add a number plate - just have it as stock as it gets:
You might have noted that the back wheels were a little too much in front, nearly touching the well. First I thought is a Tamiya mistake - I knew my wheels were correctly installed - then I have realized that this trapezoidal piece between the shield and the rear axle assembly had moved when I forced the bottom plate into the shell:
It never fall down and I would never had noticed the locator pins had slipped if it wasn't supposed to work as a spring as well and gave me the rear wheels alignment issue. Now fixed back ans all seems to be in order:

Haha! I need divine intervention for sure to can buy one of these. the wrecked up ones sell for half million and the last eight, made out from spare parts, were sold for undisclosed amounts to Middle East and Indonesian collectors.
On my bench right now one can see these:
The truck is stalled until a fresh supply of paint arrives.
The little Fokker was bounced up and down on the schedule - it seems that his turn has, finally, arrived.
And I think once I finish these builds I'm going to close my "shop" until I return from Europe.
