Well, new update! I finished (sort of)the fllor and installed the seats and shift lever. I had to fill the front seats backside with plasticard. Now, to tackle the body... (evil-mindeds, beware

Steph, beautiful work on the chrome! (but that rear wheel out of plumb is distracting-- is it possible to correct that?) I hope my VW turns out as nice as your car is looking!

Sean thank you. I think your VW is very good. parallelism of the problem, comes as the wheels are not glued yet.

I've finally worked up the courage to tackle the BMW. Windows masked inside and out in preparation for painting.

Okay, okay, but you can't rush paint drying! I've put a coat of the interior ivory colour on both the inside and outside in a bid to prevent it from being too transparent which apparently this model is prone to being.

Well that's it. I've killed it
That's not so bad, only needing a bit of touch-up, but this
Somehow the adhesive on the masking tape ate the clear plastic.
And the BMW didn't fare so well either. I ruined the paint job and there's not enough time to strip it off and recover before the end of the build.
I think I'll go back to doing things with wings. I understand those.

That's a real bummer Jessica, but is it really that bad?
Could they be touched up with a brush enough to complete the build? Would the rubber or chrome trim hide the worst of it?

Ugh Jessie, what a let down after all your work
With your experience with aircraft canopies, is there no way to fix this? Sanding and Future?

My sympathies are with you, Jessie. I had recently a similar "affair" trying to fill a joint in my Type VII Uboot for Dive 3 Campaign... after painting! In the end, the tower's paint was a mess, so you can see two shades of light grey (at least, it's not Fifty...) one for the upper hull, the other for the tower.
So, Keep calm and carry on! and good luck!

There's still another 35 days to finish, right? I barely started my entry.

We have to move at the end of the month, so I'm likely going to be spending most of June packing everything
