Update: If only I remembered Steph's or Sal's excellent models... I would found a clue about the plates!

Thanks, Steph. The first one is specially useful. I need only to find the method to make a plate in 1/48... I took a couple of looks at the decals and I promised myself not to get crazy!
So I'll try Photoshop or similar. Also, I'll try to finish the woman and dog which are include in the kit. But better let arrive the holidays for that
Sascha, I know your feelings... Courage! (and a steady hand for the surgery...) Good luck!

Checking in, and have to say nice job.
Steph, Love your couple in that old cruiser.
Javier, Nice 'fix', the finished product will be sweet.
Sean and Brian, Your entries are going to come out great as well.
Sascha, You can do it!
I, however, couldn't bring myself to a "hurry up and finish" after neglecting my Oval window beetle for so long and trying to balance the others.
But I was following along and really like what I see.
Great work guys!

Cheers Dave

Ah ha! That played right into my hands.
Here's more progress on the bumpers. Updating from the 1940's era kit to the 1960's that I'm going for...

and I "dirtied up" the original chrome hub caps because they're now the backsides.
Still going well. No show-stoppers yet. (...and yes, one of my kids was playing with a rubber stamp I have at the workbench.)
Cheers!

I feel it is a shame if effort isn't rewarded (I also needed the extension...

Thanks, Sal, the kit really helps (typical Hasegawa quality). I hadn't any issues mating chassis and body (evil-minded souls, beware!). The decals and some tiny parts were my only source of caution-frustration. The cheat lines were difficult to handle, so I painted those on hood and spare wheel house, and discarded the rest. As for tiny parts, Sascha, after taking the last pics, and trying to place the lady in a safe place, I put one fender and the rear plate out of service. So I expended last night trying to persuade them to come back home...
An enjoyable experience, this group build!
