Well now Bob, I'm torn for the DD Campaign, do I sit in a Chev and enjoy being indestructible, or do I sit in a MOPAR and enjoy absolutely demolishing it ?? Then again, if I put a MOPAR up against all the Chevs you guys are building, it is entirely likely to turn tail and barrel off into the sunset, so I won't get to race at all !!!

I have not been over here fore a week or two, and I am glad to see everything submitted. As an afterthought, wouldn't it be cool if entrants had to do one from each camp?

I haven't decided yet.

I WAS going to try to do the 3 1/12th scale Monogram Chevs, but that's not a bad idea !! I could slap together a little 1/24 Mopar with no sanding or clean-up, and paint it bright pink with house paint applied with a toothbrush

Seriously, good call, what do the masses think ?? I'm happy to add another rule to the book, provided my partner in crime doesn't go into a coniption at the thought of building a Chev

I'm also planning on doing a Chevy Corvette and a Dodge Charger.
It looks like we've got plenty of time.
And it would be a nice dio.

I think Hermon must have fainted at the thought of building a Chev. Once he recovers and puts forward his opinion (which I value very highly ) then we might have to make an amendment to the Rule Book !!

Now if I remember rightly I cast a quick eye over a '69 Dodge Daytona at the LHS a while back. Hmmm, wonder if it's still there ???

Just signed up.

Building one of each, hmm, could build a '70 Challenger and if any of the former Daewoo/Korean Chevy's are available as a kit, go for one of those ehhh cars.

One of each huh...I'll have to rethink my options then, possibly.

My plan at the moment is to build Revell's '68 Charger for the Mopar camp and AMT's '70 Camaro for the Chevy side.

My plans, however, are often subject to change.

Since I have to do one of each I went hunting in the stash and found my two chevys, a '74 corvette roadster and my surprise find '57 chevy. I know which one I'm doing for sure...the unfinished project '57 chevy AWB dragster. I started the rear wheel well openings 1' farther forward and stopped...still need the filler pieces in the body and all the frame relocation work as well as adding a straight axle up front. I tossed some blown big block engine parts in a baggy and left them in the box for the build too.
Now, where's my AWB plymouth kit gone off to?.......
I believe I'll be in an "altered" frame of mind for this build!

Hey good folk. We just went out and got a very red Corvette. I don't think I can trash Chevy's anymore.

I have owned at least 2 Fords, 3 Chevrolets, 1 GMC, 2 Dodges, 1 Plymouth and an Oldsmobile since I started driving.

I can't trash anything. That is why I'm putting together one of each for this build.

BTW, Carl, grats on your new purchase. Vrooom.

Bob, now I'm sure your wife is right about that third child.

In 30+ years of marriage, my wife, son, daughter and I have owned a grand total of 20 vehicles., 5 of which are still in the driveway.

It is a 2010 and currently has 15 miles on the odometer.

When we were getting the car put on the insurance policy, they asked what the purpose was for the purchase of the car. My wife told them the purpose was "Midlife Crisis"

Don't get me started on the bike list, Bob.

I'm a little jealous of the GT750 and not one, but two, H-2s.
